Putting together a formal prom ensemble complete with accessories can be a lot to handle, especially if you've never done it before. Too often I see girls fall into one of these Seven Prom Dress Don'ts, and I know they're going to have fashion remorse when they look back at their prom pictures. Remember:
- Some sparkle is sweet, but glitter overload is gut-wrenching.
- Show off your best asset... not all of your assets at once.
- Matchy-matchy is bad, not matching at all is worse.
- Being overdressed is just as embarrassing as being under-dressed.
- An ill-fitting dress can result in a seam ripping open or a strap popping off. That happened to a girl at my prom, and it was not a pretty sight.
