Ever wish you could be an ornament on a tree during a holiday party that your fave celebs are attending? I do! I love to spy on celebrity style and use it as outfit inspiration for my formal events.
It’s not often we get to see what celebs are wearing to their private holiday parties, but we can get an idea of what outfits they might be rockin’ by looking at what they’re wearing on the red carpet this time of year.
I’ve spotted plenty of rich, dark colors, gold trim, and sleeves of varying lengths. See who wore what holiday style
and how they pulled it off below. Click on any of the photos to see the looks up close!
1. Selena’s Gold Sparkle Trim
Spotted at a charity event in New York City: Selena Gomez sporting the most festive frock I’ve seen her in yet! The dark hued halter dress looks to be made of luxurious crushed velvet and is trimmed with gold sparkly trim that’s perfect for this season. Her kohl-lined eyes and bronze eye shadow are the perfect touch.
2. Katy Perry’s Pretty Patterns.
Also in a stunning halter number: Katy Perry
. Her floor-length gown features gorgeous flower texture that glitters up close, and a dramatic matching shawl that’s a real scene-stealer. If Katy Perry weren’t already a pop star, I’d say she should head for the silver screen.
3. Taylor Swift is Pure Elegance.
isn’t one for fashion risks. She knows what she looks good in, and tends to wear the same hues and styles over again. That’s not necessarily a bad thing: she always looks flawless, and this floor-length white gown is no exception. I love how the sides feature lace panels and allude to the cutout trend.
4. Taylor Swift’s Long Sleeves and Low Back.
Taylor Swift loves a champagne-hued dress, and this one is truly special. I’m loving the long sleeves, which are super in right now, and the deep v-back brings drama. The embroidered beads and sparkle make this the perfect holiday outfit.
5. Lucy Hale’s Little Black Dress
It’s a timeless classic: the little black dress. Every gal should have one, just like Lucy Hale
. The skinny straps and full skirt really make this frock stand out, and the statement necklace totally works. Lucy wisely accessories with red shoes and lips to make this ensemble pop.
6. Zendaya Goes Wild.
This outfit is totally winter-ready! Zendaya
has it all going on- a full, playful skirt, long sleeves in a wild animal print, and adorable ankle-strap stilettos. I don’t know how long I could survive in heels that high, but that’s just me.
7. Kristen Stewart's Dress is a Bright Idea.
I love Kristen Stewart
, I really do. But would it kill her to smile on the red carpet every once in a while? Sigh. Sourpuss aside, K-Stew’s ensemble is a holiday win. I’m loving the bold, standout yellow hue, the short sleeves and the slight fishtail hem of the skirt. It’s a super-flattering silhouette, especially with the mini bustle in the back. To offset the brightness of her dress, Kristen wore funky black and white checked heels that are totally working. I also think the braid
is a nice, sophisticated touch.
8. Lea Michele is a Holiday Diva.
always dresses like the diva she is. She’s a fan of floor-grazing gowns, deep v-necks, and any ensemble that will command attention when she walks in a room. This soft pink dress is no exception, and I’m loving the three-quarter length sleeves, slit and mini train.
