Bill Blass once said, “When in doubt wear red.” Starlets took this advice to heart because the vibrant shade just kept popping up. Whether found in a dress, a purse, or the sole of ones shoes, adding red to the mix promises an evening of double-takes and, often times, a slot on the best dressed list.

Several girls, including a very sophisticated Mary Kate Olsen, carried ruby clutches (Compare Prices) with their otherwise neutral dresses. Margherita Missoni spiced her little black number up with perfect scarlet lipstick. And not one, but two fiery ladies showed up in full-length red dresses with sleeves. We don't recommend head-to-toe red, but a smart addition will add serious spark to your look. So chic!
