If you're tired of the usual twists, waves and curls that seem to dominate formal hairstyles, it's time to whip out your crimper and get funky with a crimped hairstyle. It's amazing what a little kink in your hair can do... it even makes a boring French twist look fresh!

I love the subtle updo the model above is sporting. All of her hair was crimped before being twisted up into itself at the nape of her neck. She left a few strands of hair out of the updo to frame her face in the front.
